How To Fix A Wobbly Toilet

A wobbly toilet is bound to become a leaky wobbly toilet. Leaky toilets can cause a lot of damage to the flooring, floorboards, and into the foundation or room below. Therefore, it’s important to fix a wobbly toilet as soon as the wobble is noticed to prevent leaking. A soft Wobble Wedge® toilet shim can fix a wobbly toilet quickly and prevent future leaking.

Have you ever sat down on your toilet and felt the entire porcelain thrown shift forward under your weight? A wobbly toilet is obnoxious for the residents in your home and also for the guests who visit. And, as mentioned above, a wobbly toilet can eventually lead to leaking plumbing overtime.

A toilet might wobble for a variety of reasons. Perhaps it is sitting on uneven flooring material or the flooring material has become warped over time. The porcelain itself can also be uneven or the positioning of plumbing can cause your fixtures to sit askew. If there is a gap between your floor and the toilet, a Wobble Wedge plastic shim is a quick and easy solution to fix wobbling or rocking.

If your toilet has been rocking for a number of months or years it is possible that your plumbing will become worn and start to leak over time. If your toilet is currently leaking, the wax seal is already damaged and should be replaced as soon as possible. In addition to repairing the wax seal, you can also add Wobble Wedges to stabilize your toilet and prevent reoccurrence or future damage.
