A perfectly level pool table is essential for a smooth and accurate game of pool. Uneven surfaces can lead to balls rolling off course and affect the overall enjoyment and fairness of the game. Thankfully, leveling your pool table is easy with Wobble Wedges, versatile tools designed to stabilize and adjust furniture and equipment. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use Wobble Wedges to ensure your pool table is perfectly level:
Use a Level to Identify the Slope
Before you begin, it’s important to determine which areas of your pool table need adjustment. Start by placing a carpenter’s level on various spots across the table surface. Pay close attention to the playing area and the slate seams, as these are critical for accurate gameplay. Once you’ve identified any areas that are not level, locate the low spots where the table needs to be raised.
Lift the Table & Insert Shims
Carefully lift one side of the pool table using a hydraulic jack or by placing wooden blocks under the legs. Take caution not to damage the table or the floor during this process. Slide Wobble Wedges under the legs of the pool table in the areas identified as low spots. Depending on the size of the gap, we recommend using BigGap Wedges or our standard-sized shims. Using the patented ridges, you can stack and combine Wobble Wedge shims to perfectly compensate for any unevenness in your flooring material.
Check and Adjust
Use the carpenter’s level again to check the levelness of the pool table after inserting the Wobble Wedges. Make any necessary adjustments by adding or removing wedges until the table is perfectly level in all directions. Once the pool table is level, ensure that the Wobble Wedges are securely in place and not likely to shift during gameplay.
