Determine the Slope of Your Patio
Before your new hot tub arrives and before you commit to filling it with thousands of pounds worth of water, determine if your desired surface is level or not. Place a level on the surface and don’t be surprised if it’s not perfectly level. Most outdoor patio areas, especially concrete pads, are intentionally designed to slope to allow for water drainage. Level Your Hot Tub
Once your new hot tub arrives and before you fill it with water, use your Wobble Wedge shims to get the tub to sit perfectly level. You will either need multiple strong individuals to help you lift and shim the tub or use of a jack to lift the tub off the patio surface. It is absolutely essential that you complete this process before the tub is filled with water, as it will be impossible to lift after it is filled to capacity. Use multiple BigGap shims along under the edges of the hot tub where it needs to be supported. Check multiple times with your level to confirm that you haven’t skewed the tub further off-kilter.
