Stabilize Gym Equipment with Wobble Wedges®

Stop Dumbbells Rolling Away and Give Stability on Soft Flooring!

Having a home gym is a wonderful luxury, allowing you to exercise in the comfort of your own home, without prying eyes. Setting up a home gym can take some time; getting the equipment that you want and having the right setup to make working out easy. Luckily Wobble Wedge® plastic shims can help you get your home gym ready and stable in no time!

Stabilize Heavy Gym Equipment

Once you’ve gotten your treadmill in place and you step on it to start working out, if it wobbles that’s not going to lead to a very enjoyable workout! Heavy gym equipment needs to be stable and not move around so that you can feel safe exercising. If your treadmill, elliptical, or weight machines rock back and forth, Wobble Wedge® plastic shims can stabilize them. Our hard plastic shims can take +2,000 lbs of force, meaning you can stabilize even your heaviest gym equipment with Wobble Wedges®.

Figuring out where the wobble is might take two people, one to use the equipment and one to look for the imbalance. Once you’ve found where the equipment lifts off the ground, place a hard plastic Wobble Wedge® shim into the opening. If it still rocks, you can safely stack Wobble Wedge® plastic shims because of the patented interlocking ridges. The ridges mean that the shims will stay together and not slip!

Stop Dumbbells From Rolling Away

If you have dumbbells that don’t have their own stand, they can easily roll all over your gym if the floor isn’t perfectly level. This can be downright annoying, and it can be dangerous, as you could trip or stub a toe on the heavy weight. One solution is to simply place soft/flexible plastic Wobble Wedges® on the floor and put the weights on top of them. Another more permanent solution is to use Wobble Wedges® to make your own weight stand.

Using two 2×4 pieces, 4 soft/flexible Wobbles Wedges® (BigGap™ or standard will both work depending on the size of the weights), and some screws you can make your own weight stand. Simply place two of the wedges with the thinnest part of the tapered shims touching each other. This will create a “V” that will hold the dumbbell in place. Use the pre-drilled holes in the Wobble Wedges® to secure the shims in place. Repeat with the second 2×4, and voilà! You now have a weight stand!

Keep Your Weight Bench From Wobbling

If you have a weight bench for doing weight lifting, being precariously perched on it with a heavy weight while it wobbles back and forth with each rep can be quite annoying. This can be compounded if it’s sitting on a soft padded floor, increasing the instability. Luckily hard plastic Wobble Wedges® are perfect for leveling on soft flooring. The hard plastic gives stability against the soft flooring, allowing you to stop the wobble on the spot.
