How to Level Countertop Appliances

And Stop Them From Scooting Across Your Counter

Small countertop appliances can annoyingly wobble every time you open the door or move out of place on slick surfaces. They also typically don’t have adjustable feet like larger appliances. So you might be wondering how to level countertop appliances? Luckily our soft/flexible Wobble Wedge® plastic shims offer a great solution for both of these problems!

How to Level Countertop Appliances

More than likely your countertop appliances don’t have adjustable feet. This makes it hard to stop your countertop appliances from rocking or leaning. Wobble Wedges® offer a sleek solution that will blend in and fix this issue. Take a small level and place it on top of your countertop appliance. You will want to check it for level from two directions, front to back and side to side. On your level the bubble will move to the side that is too high. Place a Wobble Wedge® plastic shim under the foot on the opposite side from the bubble. Check with the level again, repeat by placing a plastic shim under each foot as necessary. Our soft/flexible plastic shims are best for this application. They are sturdy and will provide grip to the surface of your countertop.

Stop Scooting Appliances

Don’t let your countertop appliances slowly creep across your counter! This is likely due to the rubber feet aging, and the rubber becoming hard and brittle. A great solution is to place soft/flexible Wobble Wedge® plastic shims under the feet to improve grip. Our soft/flexible plastic shims are ideal for this use because the patented interlocking ridges grip the slick counter surface. Depending on the size of the feet on your countertop appliance you can use Mini Wobble Wedges® or Standard Wobble Wedges®. Place the plastic shims under the front two feet or all four, depending on your situation.

Don’t Forget to Level Your Big Appliances Too!

It’s also important to level your larger appliances in your home too. You can learn how to level your refrigerator, stove and dishwasher, as well as your washing machine from our blogs. Making sure that your appliances are level is important for safety and for ease of use.

PLEASE NOTE: Wobble Wedges® should not come in contact with hot surfaces. DO NOT place Wobble Wedge® plastic shims against a surface that will become hot when the appliance is in use. Please always consult the appliance manufacturer’s instructions before attempting any adjustments to your appliances.
